What Is Crepe Bandage Used For?
Bandages heal different types of wounds, and they are created to perform various functions depending upon the kind of injury, cut, bruise or wound. There are different types of bandages available such as cloth strips, crepe bandages, shaped bandages, woven, knitted, elastic and non-elastic bandages.
The use of elastic bandage or ‘taping’ as a solution for muscle injuries is very common. Crepe bandage provides excellent elasticity and it helps to specially treat varicose sprains, muscle injury, etc. Due to its elasticity, it provides stretchability almost twice in length even after being washed. A crepe bandage sticks closely to the skin or the surface of the joint and it allows minimum motion. This bandage can stretch in case of swelling so that that the circulation is not interrupted.
